AADHYA is a not for profit organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Indian Trusts Act, 1882 as a society and trust respectively. AADHYA‘s activities extend all across India with a focus on rural areas.

Our Vision for AADHYA:

To provide vocational training, counselling and guidance to youth.
To conduct training programmes for skill development.
To conserve, promote and impart knowledge of traditional and fine arts, culture, etc. as a means of livelihood.
To assist physically, mentally and economically challenged persons with food, clothing, education and other help.
To grant assistance to needy victims during natural calamities or other eventualities.
To assist and promote education for students who have no means to undertake the same.
To provide food, clothing, shelter and other items of sustenance to those in need.
To create opportunities for developing the potential of youth and to exhibit their talents.

Our Team

Monica Drego, President

Monica Drego is working in the field of education – National and International for the last 27 years. She has been head of various schools and has conducted training workshops at various national and international locations. This gives her an ability to work with cross cultural teams from across the world. She has worked with Managers, Youth Leaders, Behavioural Science Trainers and Educationists.

She received Gold medal at the hands of Late Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi for academic excellence and best teacher award from Lions Club Pune. She is also a certified Graphologist, Pranic Healer, Dance Therapist and Dream Therapist. She is a member of Indian Association for Study of Dreams & Institute of Counselling and Transaction Analysis. She assisted Dr. Francis A Menezes to write his book on ‘Dream & its Interpretatinos made easy’ where a special mention has been made.

Jagadish Joshi, Secretary

Group captain Jagadish Joshi has been associated with the Indian Air Force since three decades which began in 1980 with his commissioning as Air Traffic Controller and Administrative Officer. A problem solving and value driven mind-set are some of his key traits.

He has also imparted quality training in various aspects of Air Traffic Control, Crash Fire Fighting and Ground Safety during operations. Being an alumnus of Air Force Academy and Air Force Administrative College himself, he is looking forward to assist and mentor youth who want to join the Indian Armed Forces. He is currently involved in personality development and soft skills training programmes for the youth.

Darryl Drego, Treasurer

As an electronics engineer, Darryl Drego has worked with various organisations such as Hitek Electronics, Eagle Flask Industries Ltd, Plazma Cutting Technologies Pvt Ltd in various senior management positions. Currently, he serves as the director of Nikul Engineering Pvt Ltd which is into innovative home appliances and industrial safety guards.

He has a patent for self-regulating heating systems in food warmers and design copyrights for safety guards. He has also worked with reputed brands such as Cello, Kimberly Clark, Mahindra CIE, Godrej, to name a few.

Anagha Devalekar, Trustee

Anagha Devalekar is a seasoned HR professional with close to 20 years of experience with CSR centric organizations like Tata’s, Infosys and Zensar amongst others. Being in HR has enabled Anagha to associate with multiple projects and opportunities to give back to the society. She feels very strongly about the cause of Education for Girls and tries to contribute in as many ways as possible.

Anagha has also been actively involved in helping youth prepare for their initial Corporate onboarding (Campus Selection Process), though not just through her organizations. Anagha believes that AADHYA is committed to be a platform that brings a ray of hope in the lives of people through empowerment, education and employability. She is extremely excited to be a part of this journey and contribute in any way possible.

Elizabeth Dias, Trustee

Elizabeth Dias is a digital strategist and management professional. Her expertise lies in online marketing, branding, public relations and corporate communication. With a keen eye in these areas, she assists companies that want to strategize and expand their reach in the market.

She has coordinated & delivered 3 Guinness World Records till date. Currently, as project head, she also spearheads trade-fairs and conferences in India and abroad for Hospitality, F & B, Tourism, Ayurvedic & Health Sectors. During her free time, you will find her learning and researching about the latest in the industry to constantly better her skills. With Aadhya, she is now looking forward to extend her resources, time and talents to reach out to those in need.

Geeta Pant, Trustee

Geeta Pant has been in the teaching fraternity for 35 years. During her journey, she encountered many students who were dissuaded from going to school because their families were illiterate themselves. These experiences ignited a spark in her as she wanted to do more to help such students.

She is also a trained classical musical teacher and trains under-privileged children for various competitions. She works with various organisations for similar academic, musical and livelihood assistance to people in Uttarakhand. She firmly believes in the words of St. Francis of Assisi – ‘It is in giving that we receive.’ and she knows Aadhya is another step towards reaching this goal.

Savita Oberoi, Trustee

Ms. Savita Oberoi has been working in the field of Cosmetology for the last 32 years. She has been trained by some world renowned Beauticians and Hair experts like Maya Paranjape, Shahnaz Hussain, Javed Habib, Jasbeer Arora and Cheryl.

She is a member of the Association of Beauty Therapies and Cosmetology (ABTC), India and has done a course on Cosmetology from CIDSCO, USA.
